This privacy policy applies to the Referra app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Sean Fogarty (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a freemium service with optional in-app purchases. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Short version: Referra stores your contact and referral data in your own personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The Service Provider has no ability to access, view, or recover your data. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party services.
Referra is designed for rehab and performance professionals (physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, personal trainers, and coaches) to manage referral relationships. The Application does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with the Service Provider or any third party. Specifically:

The Application uses Apple's CloudKit framework to store your data in the private database of your personal iCloud account. This means:
If you are not signed in to iCloud, the Application will store your data locally on your device only.
Referra is explicitly designed as a relationship management tool, not a medical record system. The Application is not HIPAA-covered and is not intended to store Protected Health Information (PHI) about patients or clients.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you enter into the Application does not include patient-identifying clinical data, treatment notes, diagnoses, or other PHI. Onboarding screens and form fields within the Application reinforce this guidance. Clinical information should remain in your Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or practice management system.
The Application offers optional paid features through Apple's In-App Purchase system, including:
All payment processing is handled directly by Apple through your Apple ID. The Service Provider does not receive, see, or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. The Service Provider receives only a confirmation from Apple that a purchase has been made, which is used solely to grant access to Pro features within the Application.

The Application uses Apple's local notifications framework to remind you about scheduled follow-ups. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content is transmitted to the Service Provider or to Apple's push notification servers (silent CloudKit sync notifications are managed by Apple and contain no user-identifiable content).
The Application does not share any data with third parties. The only external services involved are:
Both are governed by Apple's privacy practices, not the Service Provider's. The Service Provider may disclose information only as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process. However, as no user data is collected or stored by the Service Provider, there is no data to disclose.
The Application is intended for use by professional adults managing their business relationships and is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children.

The Service Provider does not retain any user data and therefore cannot perform deletion requests on your behalf.
Because data is stored in your personal iCloud, security is governed by Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which includes encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication to your iCloud account is controlled by your Apple ID credentials. The Service Provider has no access to your iCloud data and does not maintain any servers that store your information.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
