This privacy policy applies to the TagSweep app (the "Application") for iOS, created by Fogarty Holdings LLC (the "Service Provider"). TagSweep is a device inventory app for school technology coordinators. It scans asset tags with the camera, keeps an inventory on the device, and exports that inventory as a CSV file that the user controls.
Short version: TagSweep stores all data locally on your device. Nothing is transmitted to Fogarty Holdings LLC or to any third party. There is no account, no login, no cloud sync, and no server. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to disclose, sell, or breach.
Everything you enter into or capture with TagSweep — device records, asset tags, serial numbers, models, locations, statuses, notes, assignment records, scan history, imported lists, and exported files — is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.
None of it is transmitted to Fogarty Holdings LLC, and none of it is transmitted to any third party. The Application does not send your inventory anywhere. It does not upload it, back it up to our systems, or make it available to us in any form.
The Application includes no third-party crash reporting service. If you have chosen, in your iOS Settings, to share crash and diagnostic data with app developers, Apple may provide the Service Provider with anonymized crash reports through App Store Connect. These reports contain technical diagnostic information only — they never include your inventory, your device records, student names, asset tags, notes, photos, or any other content you have entered into the Application. That setting is controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings.
TagSweep supports handing devices out against a class roster, which means a coordinator may enter or import student names in order to record which device went to which student.
Because student information never leaves the device, the Service Provider has no ability to access, view, retrieve, correct, or delete it. You control it entirely, and you remain responsible for handling it in accordance with your school's and district's policies.
The Application requests access to your camera for one purpose: on-device barcode and text recognition of asset tags, serial numbers, and labels. Recognition is performed locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks.
No image is uploaded. Camera frames used for scanning are processed on the device and are not transmitted anywhere. If you import photos from your photo library, those images are likewise processed on the device only, and are not transmitted anywhere.
CSV files you import — device lists and class rosters — are read on your device. CSV files you export are written on your device. Where an exported file goes next is entirely your choice: you might save it to Files, email it, or upload it to your district's system yourself. The Service Provider is not involved in and receives no copy of any import or export. Once a file leaves the Application, it is subject to the privacy practices of wherever you send it and to your district's policies.
TagSweep is free to use for up to 100 devices. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited devices. There is no subscription.
You can delete individual devices, assignments, rosters, and records from within the Application at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of its data. Because the Application stores nothing outside your device and syncs to no cloud service, removing the app removes everything it held.
The Service Provider retains no user data and therefore cannot perform deletion requests on your behalf — there is nothing on our side to delete.
The Service Provider does not sell, rent, trade, or share user data, because the Service Provider never receives any. We have no database of users, no inventory records, no student names, no asset tags, and no scan history.
If the Service Provider were served with a subpoena or a similar legal demand for user data, there would be no user data to produce. For the same reason, a breach of the Service Provider's systems could not expose your inventory or your students' names: they are not there.
This section is written for principals, directors of technology, and procurement staff evaluating whether a coordinator may use TagSweep.
TagSweep transmits no data to Fogarty Holdings LLC. The app has no server component, no account system, and no cloud sync. Data entered by a coordinator — including any student names used for device assignment — is stored on that coordinator's own device and is never sent to us. Student ID numbers and student email addresses are stripped on import and are not stored by the app at all.
Because no data is transmitted to us, TagSweep does not operate as a third-party contractor receiving student data. Fogarty Holdings LLC receives no student records, holds no student information, and provides no hosted service in connection with the app. The app functions in the same way a paper clipboard or a spreadsheet stored on a district-issued device would: the data stays with the district employee using it, and the vendor is not in possession of it.
Fogarty Holdings LLC is not able to provide advice about your district's own obligations or agreements. If your review process requires documentation, this page is the Service Provider's statement of the app's data practices, and questions may be directed to contact@fogartyholdings.com. You are welcome to forward this page as-is.
The Application is intended for use by school employees — technology coordinators, technology point people, and similar staff — and is not directed at children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from any user, adult or child, because the Service Provider collects no information at all.
Your data remains on your device, where it is protected by iOS device security, including your passcode and Apple's file-level encryption. The Application makes no outbound network connections to Service Provider systems, and the Service Provider operates no systems that store your information.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy and revising the effective date shown at the top. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy periodically, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
