This privacy policy applies to the NetScanPro app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Sean Fogarty (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a freemium service with an optional one-time in-app purchase. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application is designed with privacy as its core principle. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:
All information generated by the Application — including discovered devices, IP and IPv6 addresses, hostnames, Bonjour service types, port scan results, and scan history — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to the Service Provider or any third party.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
NetScanPro performs network discovery and port scanning operations entirely within the local Wi-Fi network you are connected to. The Application:
You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to scan the network you are connected to. The Application is intended for use on networks you own, administer, or have explicit permission to inspect.
Your scan data is protected by the following security measures:
Because all data is stored locally on your device, the Service Provider has no ability to access, recover, or delete your scan data. If you delete the Application, all data is permanently removed from your device.
NetScanPro offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features, including unlimited port scanning and removal of the daily network scan limit. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit 2.
The Application does not share any data with third parties. The only external service the Application communicates with is Apple's App Store, and only for the purpose of validating in-app purchases and entitlements as described above.
The Service Provider may disclose information only as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process. However, as no user data is collected or stored by the Service Provider, there is no user data to disclose.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children.

All data generated by the Application is stored locally on your device and is under your full control. The Service Provider does not retain any user data. To delete your data, simply delete the Application from your device. All scan history and device records will be permanently removed.
The Service Provider has designed the Application from the ground up with security as a core principle. All data is stored locally and protected by biometric authentication. The Application makes no outbound network connections beyond the local network scans you initiate and the standard StoreKit transactions handled by Apple.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
